Le poème n'ose pas traverser la lisière pour pénétrer dans la forêt. Prudemment il se tient à la bordure, préférant le chemin qui l'entoure. Il veille ainsi à préserver l'intimité des animaux. Au-dedans, biche et faon guettent, attentifs au moindre bruit, le danger qui pourrait les déranger.
Un foulard automnal - verts, gris, rouges, orangés - pour tous les amoureux de la nature, qui savent qui faut avant tout la respecter, et surtout s'en émerveiller.

d'anciennes forêts dans tes yeux abonde ;
combien de confiance ronde
mêlée à combien de peur.
Tout cela, porté par la vive
gracilité de tes bonds.
Mais jamais rien n'arrive
à cette impossessive
ignorance de ton front.
